Song Surgeon Version 6 Update

At long last, the development process for the new Version 6 of Song Surgeon is winding down.

I estimate that we have another month of coding work and then we’ll begin some beta testing. My best estimate is that we’ll have this new product ready to go within the next 3-5 months.

As we always do, our initial work has been with Windows. Once the Windows build is complete we’ll then transition to work on the Mac version which should follow about 6-8 months after the Windows version is released.

Sneak Peek - Audio Stream Capture

With this newsletter, we are beginning a series of Sneak Peek videos which will highlight some of the new features found in Version 6.

Beta Testers - Version 6

This first release of Version 6 will be for Windows only and it will run on Win 10 or Win 11. If you have a Windows machine with one of these two operating systems, have GOOD computer skills and are interested in being a beta tester please click the link below:

The time commitment for a beta tester is estimated to be 4-6 hours which includes the compiling of a final report. All testing and reporting must be completed and reported within 2 weeks of the time that we send the beta testing build to testers.

We currently estimate that testing will being in the first half of February.

Beta testers will receive a free copy of Song Surgeon 6 at its launch. However, we reserve the right to withhold this free copy if, in our sole judgement, a beta tester does not complete the work in a satisfactory and timely manner.

Beta testing requires that you have good proficiency with computers, so if you don't, please do not submit your name. It will save both you and us a lot of frustration.

I am really looking forward to getting this new Version out to you. It has some very useful and exciting new features.
