It has been a busy and productive year for TMJ software and our flagship product Song Surgeon. Over the past year we have released a number of new features to the product and today we continue this progress. I pleased to announce two new features:
1. Ritardando/Accelerando – This feature has been added to Song Surgeon 6 Pro and is available at no cost to all customers. This new feature is found in the Edit Menu. It allows you to select a segment of a file/song and then gradually slow it down (Ritardando) or speed it up (Accelerando). Once this change has been applied you can permanently save it by Exporting and creating a new file.
2. Notation Module (Midi/XML/ABC) – This new module is available to Song Surgeon 6 Pro users as an Add-On and is sold on our site.
The objective of developing the MusicXML Add-On was to enable Song Surgeon 6 Pro to print ABC notation (standard musical notation) for songs. The changes required to achieve this have resulted in the addition of several significant and important enhancements which are incorporated into this Add-On. Below is a list of what his module can do. |  |
a. Print ABC notation (standard musical notation)
b. Open MIDI files and extracting the notes for a single instrument
c. Open and playing MusicXML (MXML) files
d. Converting between MusicXML (MXML) and MIDI files
e. Export and save in MusicXML (MXML) or MIDI file formats
f. Convert a standard audio file (MP3, WAV, etc.) that contains only a single instrument into MIDI/MusicXML—and thus into ABC notation
These two new features are found in Version 6.0.81. To access these features you can download and install this new build using the links below, or you can wait a few more days until we push these changes into the updater and you are prompted to update.
